(Trying to do this from an observer’s POV this time, no critique until the end)
The show starts off with, as always, A BUM FIGHT!
Dark Match: Bum Fights Gauntlet
Ninja Bob Vs. All Comers
Commish said that Captain Pelican is NOT in the building… which means he’s obviously in the building We’ll see.
Ninja Bob starts off against The Great Stevo. Takes that bitch out. Then time for Jobber Dave who does the job. The match is actually a relatively well fought match by Bob, though his execution is a bit off. He wouldn’t last a minute against the REAL wrestlers. Which is going to be tested for real as Corey bull comes out… that guy ain’t no bum!
But then the Pelican’s music plays and he comes out. But the Commish said he wasn’t here! The pelican comes with a fucking harpoon to a fist fight! Bob and Pelican fight for a minute and after interference by the commish after Pelican had the match well in control and a fast count outside the ring Bob wins this fight as well. Commish is pissed at Bob for his poor performance. Still no one gets a title shot in the bum fight division and the real show starts.
Then the man comes. Everyone seems very interested in Lucious Starr as he enters the champions locker room. Pryde is like wetting his pants for this guy. Lucious is named the head of Creative and training team. The World Champ isn’t impressed and there’s definitely history between these guys, but everyone else is pretty excited to see him. He even spews some Spanish to entice Vandalia a little bit as well.
The Tag Champs aren’t very impressed either with Starr but this guy is a pro and remains unfazed by his critics. He DEMANDS respect and promises money to be drawn.
Karlie Nash is on her way to the Garden. She is HILARIOUS and intense. Such an out there lesbian, loves the ladies. She announces a secret crush on Brooke Belle and mentions that she will be on the commentary team this week.
Brooke Bell vs Delilah Black
Karlie Nash is a perv!
The fans are rabid and wild beasts. Bell and Black have a great match but the fans want blood. One of them even grabs Brooke’s ass. Black seems to have the match under control but Belle overwhelms her and picks up the win. The fans are ravenous today.
FCC Accosts Mya Denton in the back and is chauvinistic towards her which is the play here. He asks about FarCry and she plays it off like they’ve never met. Maybe they really haven’t really interacted WITH each other rather just NEAR each other, but she has DEFINITELY spoken TO him so this is weird. I’m as confused as FCC is at the end.
Matt Angel vs Chaos vs Leo
Angel and Leo and Chaos fight each other. Obviously a huge size difference. Angel and Leo try to mix it up with each other but Chaos will not have it and insists on getting involved and dominating this match and picking up the win.
Lucious Starr comes out and pretty much tells the audience what he told the champions in the back. There’s so much talk about Lucious’s dick that it makes me uncomfortable. But the fans love Lucious, the women love Lucious, St. Remi loves Lucious. This guy is as popular as Perogies at a Polish Festival.
Romeo King vs Joe Smarts - feat. a Mystery Opponent
Joe wins immediately because Romeo no shows the match so woo hoo, Joe gets a win! But then Joe starts fighting himself and nearly loses! But he pulls out the victory and gets TWO wins here tonight!
FarCry is now interviewed by FFC. He reveals officially ot the audience that he struggles with hearing voices. Then Carl brings up Mya Denton and FarCry seems to have little knowledge about the women despite their interactions the past few weeks. Despite him claiming to not know the woman he defends her honor when Carl becomes overtly misogynistic.
The question I hope you’re asking is ‘what is up with Mya and FarCry?’
As the person writing it… you’ll find out soon enough.
Bonnie Blue vs Erin Fausse
Vandalia is the special commentator and seems oddly pleasant and able to speak in English for the first time on Television.
Bonnie is especially aggressive tonight as she pummels Fausse. Fauss is no slouch and she is able to dish it out as well as she can take it (easy Karlie)
The match is even, neither woman truly able to gain advantage over the other and they stumble outside, brawling like crazy. The women attack each other like hyenas fighting for the last piece of meat in the desolate plains and are counted out!
Shadowlove vs Gray Zee vs Kendrick Kross
Shadowlove is not present with no explanation as far as I can tell. The card DOES say ‘card subject to change’ so we’ve got Gray Zee vs Kross. And they both have a lot to prove. Gray Zee shows a lot of promise and a lot of tenacity but this week Kendrick’s Kross is too much to bear as Kross picks up the win.
Captian Pelican thinks Carl’s name is Ricki and somehow gets interviewed on Television. It turns out that his beef with Lamarche is over A DOLLAR! This bum is literally getting himself nearly killed or a buck. Gotta love it.
L Verez vs Mya Denton
Mya is a firecracker and instantly attacks Verez. L is able to get Denton into some joint manipulation as she slows down the pace of the match. Verez, using old school tactics, targets Denton’s hand and uses her feet to deliver damage. But Denton won’t go down without a fight and regains control. The relative modest attitude of Denton before seems to be replaced with a woman full of rage as she viciously assaults Verez, keeping her at bay despite L’s attempts at a comeback.
However, at the end of the day, the targeting of the fingers and arm seems to pay dividends as Mya decides to tap out and save her arm for another fight and Verez picks up the victory here tonight.
WHAT A CRONKER BONKER!
Dark Spectre vs K.L. Henson
In a surprise move KL Henson replaces himself with Jobber Dave and Spectre makes quick work of the Bum Fight competitor who has wrestled twice tonight and earns a shot at the Tru Grit Title against Andre Aquarius and Nyeo Son.
I may have missed something but this is the first I heard that Aquarius and Son were in the Tru Grit Title match at Blood Moon rising. Good for all three men, they all deserve it.
The Razzle Dazzlers of Fantazzmagazzles vs Fear of God
The Razzle Dazzlers try to embarrass Travis by messing up his hair but then the Fear of God take control of the match using traditional heel tactics. However, Ricardo is able to overcome the odds and make the hot tag to his partner who clears house. A Supa Party wins the match for the Razzle Dazzlers.
FFC interviews Bonnie Blue. She has one thing on her mind, the separation of men and women in NBW. She comes from a culture of men and women competing along side AND against each other. She doesn’t like the way it is here. She trods the camera man behind her and meets up with Andre Jenson to the door of Vincent Pryde. Bonnie makes quick work of the guards of the door the Killmore Girlz and barges into Prydes office.
Onslaught steps forward but Pryde stops him from attacking. Bonnie is a born talker as she goes verbally toe to toe with Pryde and DEMANDS a match against a man. Bonnie is fighting the good fight. We live in a society where women aren’t treated equally for various reasons but we’ve always seen wrestling as a place where that is not the case. Pryde has old school beliefs and doesn’t want to mix genders in the ring.
Pryde obliges by offering the services of the 100 foot indestructible monster ONLSAUGHT in a steel cage match at Blood Moon rising cementing down what should be the match that steals the show next week.
FarCry and Emmit Kraus vs Andre Aquarius and Nyeo Son
FarCry and Andre start the match. FarCry gains control as he couldn’t well do a few weeks ago when they met. But the team of Son and Aquarius seem too much for Knox as his partner continues to stumble off the ring and refuses to make the tag.
Eventually FarCry gains composure and momentum and FORCES Emmit Krauss into the ring where he is met with an expertly placed Rodney’s revenge and the team of Son and Aquarius look good teaming together before they face each other next week at blood Moon rising.
In some post match antics Krauss and FarCry share some words before Kid DeKay returns to the ring holding a barbed wire steel chair. Krauss attacks FarCry from behind and the two originals double team FarCry for some time, Krauss even threatening to slice Knox’s throat open. This attack is vicious and uncalled for and a curb stomp on the barbed wire steel chair leaves Knox nearly lifeless in the center of the ring as Krauss tries to show solidarity with DeKay who still seems unsure of his ability to trust Krauss.
Verez meets Jenson and inquires herself about Insurgency. The mystery remains but the card seems to be the card. But what does the card look like?
Vincent Pryde comes out and addresses the crowd who seem to be up in arms about the way Krauss and DeKay treated FarCry. #firekrauss is trending so Pryde obliges by issuing a fine and in ring suspension for Krauss. The crowd seems displeased with his choice so he tries to sweeten the pot by forcing FarCry to compete next week despite his injuries or he faces a far steeper fine and suspension.
We all knew what Pryde was about, but he made it perfectly clear here. Violence is rewarded. Weakbness is punished. If you don’t know… now you know.
Masutarou and Corey bull face off. If bull wins he gets a world title shot. Bull uses his height to his advantage as he tries to coax the smaller competitor his way. M gives jabs and kicks but Bull remains unfazed. Bulls size eventually takes control as he takes control of the match. A big slam is reversed into an armbar over the rope and Bull is struggling in pain. But there’s too much on the line to quit so he perseveres and delivers a big move for a pin. M kicks out, delivers a big move of his own and goes for the pin. Bull kicks out.
Tensions are high and neither man want to relent. But it’s a Kill Switch by Corey Bull that ends up being the deciding factor and Cull Steals Masutarou’s World title shot AND, in breaking news Masutarou is released form the company.
Champion Feed
Cassidy Kaine is backstage when he gets attacked By Corey bull, looking to gain yet another edge on next week’s match, maybe even make it a 1 on one match by taking out the world Champ. It takes 6 security guards as well as a handful of other officials to keep this guy off the champion as EMTs attend to the wounded warrior.
Knight vs Legato
Abbi continues to get hard ons for on screen personalities as she basically throws herself at Sebastian knight verbally. Which is justifiable as he IS a handsome man with great in ring acumen. Because of the heinous attack by Bull on Kaine Cassidy’s father Nova-Kaine replaces him on commentary.
Knight gets on and stays on the attack for the beginning part of the match and maintains it throughout putting Legato in his place, and in breaking news, seeming to get Legato fired after such a poor showing.
During the match, however Corey bull comes out and attacks Nova Kaine. By the end of the match NovaKaine is a pile of rubble through a table and Legato is out cold in the middle of the ring leaving the 2 world title contenders in an epic staredown as we fade to black.
