Bio:
Sam came to fame in the 90s as a child actor in one of the biggest TV shows in history, which chronicled the life of a young boy and his misfit family living in suburban Detroit during the heyday of car manufacturing called Motor City Life. After a 10 year run in the show he broke through in Hollywood playing the lead role in the re-re-reboot of Star Wars, instantly propelling him the venerable echelons of the most highly sought actors. Empire magazine described him as “The shining light and new face of Hollywood”, lauding his versatility and acting prowess, bringing the required gravitas to Captain Kirk’s son. (No one cared at this point that Star Wars and Star Trek were crossing over. Not since the Lord of the Rings vs Harry Potter films ushered in a new dawn for crossover films.) He was on a high, after Star Wars he took a number of high profile roles, such as Forrest in the gritty reboot of Forrest Gump and a number of action films. After the release of Faster and a lot more Furious (itself a reboot of Fast and the Furious 8, where a CGI Paul Walker was resurrected and never actually left the crew in 7, he turned into an action superstar with the ability and believability to transcend genres. Life, was indeed perfect.
He married Clarissa DeFont, the most alluring woman in the world, the number one actress, the most highly paid, the most famous, the most desirable. He married her after working with her on a film about Mexican drug lords hiding out in suburban Connecticut called El Suburbia. They adopted 3 children from Nicaragua because, even though they were both healthy, Clarissa didn't feel like having biological children would be conducive to her career and it'd be better to just “rescue” them. By this point, smitten as much as any man can be he rolled with it. Besides, the wealth, power and luxury had warped him and he no longer thought things a rational man might. He was enamoured with the fame, a slave to the money, completely addicted. In short he was lost.
Still, life was great. He grew his multimedia empire. Movies, shows, records, everything. He did it all. His reputation and bank balance grew on the watch of his illustrious agent Lars Bexley. The man was a complete genius, He booked Sam on everything, saturating the market with his presence and to be honest, the world couldn't get enough of him. So it was seemingly inevitable when the cracks started to show. Sam started rebelling I guess. He started by started showing up late and arguing with directors at first. Spiralling into full blown carnage with copious amounts of drugs, affairs and parties by the end. All of this happened in the space of a decade. Those years between 2005-2015 were both his heyday and his downfall.
2015 came along. This was, at the time, he thought, his annus horribilis. This was the year Clarissa left him. She took everything in the divorce and he was dropped by his studio. He was pretty much finished in Hollywood, a toxic brand. No Clarissa, no bank. The only parts he could now get were on reality TV shows. He still shudders at the thought of those. He spent months of the year either dancing on ice, in the ball room, or sitting in a house full of completely arrogant nobody z listers, like the sister of Brad Pitt's maid, while the rabid public watched his downfall with apparent glee.
In 2016 however - Sam managed to check into rehab, got himself clean and joined UCI with great success. He propelled the company and himself into the spotlight once again and life was great. Until the snake like unscrupulous vampire wannabe owner of NBW framed him so he could bring Sam to NBW. It cost Sam everything, he was fighting the allegations for months and eventually settled the situation by agreeing to be the award in a battle between Pryde and Andre Jenson the GM of UCI. Pryde won, however Sam resigned with UCI after Spencer Adams' intervention.
Then Adams sold the company to NBW anyway, making the whole thing a moot point. Now Kidsgrove is here, gunning for Vincent Pryde with the Insurgency, a faction of UCI faithful who are absolutely opposed to the tyrrany of Vincent Pryde.
Attire: On the way to the ring, he always, and I mean always, has to look dapper. He wears a black tuxedo and black bow tie. Every time. Without fail. It’s his standard go to look whenever he isn’t in the ring but on camera.
In the ring, he wears trunks that are coloured and logoed like the universal studios logo. A full globe stretching all the way around. The boots are black with his own logo showing on the outward facing side and they connect to the knee pads, which are plain black with 4 small blue stars on each - the logo is a stylised movie camera in gold with his signature through the middle in white. Armpads are again black, they both have small stitched Oscars statues in blue sewn onto them.
Theme song: This means War - Avenged Sevenfold
Pic Base: Matthew McConaughey
Entrance: (solo) The beginning of This is war blasts through the arena, the riff cutting through the place. Spotlights start to hit the arena, searching for Sam Kidsgrove as he bursts through the curtains with Andre Jenson.
Andre leads the way, immediately shunting the NBW commentary team and replacing them with the one and only Jimmy Garcia. Kidsgrove stands at the ramp, psyching himself up.
Taylor Lorde (who has already replaced the NBW ring announcer) starts up her introduction.
Ladies and Gentlemen, from San Francisco California. Here is the incomperable man of a thousand faces, your UCI Intercontinental champion and member of the Insurgency. Saaaaaaaaaaaam Kidssssssssssgroveeeeeeeee.
Sam adjusts the belt around his shoulder and strides down to the ring, focussed - ignoring the cacophony of boos that ring around the stadium from NBW fans. The UCI fans in attendance cheer as loud as they can but they are drowned out by the mouth breathing wannabee Blades.
Kidsgrove slides in to the ring under the bottom rope after throwing the belt into the ring, Jenson catching it. He grabs the belt from Jenson and immediately climbs the corner, giving the crowd a shot of his UCI intercontinental title and the Insurgency salute. Jenson is in the middle of the ring throughout this, giving the salute, motionless as Kidsgrove climbs each and every turnbuckle in turn.
Eventually Kidsgrove moves to the middle of the ring and joins Jenson in the Insurgency salute, facing the camera.
