Character Name: Masuda Jubei
Nickname: "The Master"
Hometown: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 225 lbs.
Alignment: Heel Owner that thinks he's a face
In-Ring Style: strong-style and relentless striker
Bio: The Master began a short-lived career in prowrestling during the mid-90's but never achieved anything above midcard success. Deteriorating relationships with ownership soon led to debt and inevitable mix-ups with bad brokers. His relentless ring style made him a difficult target for regular thugs looking to collect on his debts. This impressed a number of powerful men - those representing an underground organization whose name cannot be mentioned in public - whom brought Jubei into their fold. He flourished in this shadowy organization until a weak turnover in leadership gave way for his rise into a position he has held for over a decade.
In the summer of 2017, a slimy promoter named Vincent Pryde asked for funds to make a company based out of Madison Square Garden. While most proposals would have been a swiped away from Jubei's feet, the prospect of having his hands in a prowrestling promotion brought a smile to a man many assumed had lost his soul. Its failure financially resulted in it being pulled from SYFY. Months later, and still possessing most of the company's assets - minus a few memorable faces, The Master gathered resources to purchase TV rights for a rebirth of New Blood Wrestling. After a full acquisition of the defunct promotion, The Master revived its weekly shows as Japanese-based promotion with some international shows in between regular dates.
He tends to be a hyper micro-manager that expects things finished well before their due dates. Likewise, Jubei rarely has his true name appear on TV or official business. He also knows very little English relying instead on those like Commissioner Zura to be his mouthpiece. It should be considered an honor to have him introduce himself as such, for most never even earn his gaze. Although he is a creator at heart. New Blood Wrestling is his baby, as such, Jubei will destroy anything that gets in the way of his vision for the promotion.
Attire: Wrestling: Black or white trunks with a gold emblem of a dragon on the back, taped wrists and boots to match his trunks
(Entrance attire) a black or white towel with his golden dragon logo on the back.
(Backstage) Jubei can be found in either an all back haori (samurai/Jedi robes) or an all white suit for business meetings.
Theme song: "Der König Der Dunkelheit" - D
Pic Base: Minoru Suzuki
Entrance: The arena fades to darkness as the opening chorus of "Der König Der Dunkelheit" blasts. Logos of the Masuda Corporation go across the BloodTron 4000. As the guitar builds, fog floods the entrance ramp where a number of black shirts, all baring The Master's name, bow before his entrance to the stage. Guitars pick up when a dozen of the Ikeda Clan form a column wearing secret service all-black suits and glasses along with visible earpieces. Videos of his submissions go across the screen with waving war banners bearing his family name.
Oda Niko: "On his way to the ring, from Yokohama... he is 186 cms and 102 kg... your master and excellence in wrestling... Maaaa-suuu-daaa Ju-bei!
Jubei enters to boos as he makes a slow yet austere walk to the ring, leaving his guards at the end of the ramp. A towel obscures his face while purple and red lights pulse to his footsteps. Once at the apron, he makes a slow lap around every corner until arrving where he started. Several black shirts run and bow before him. He passes them to right before taking the step ladder to the apron. Jubei glides through the middle ropes and waits for the next line of chorus. He removes his towel to show the fierce eyes of a warrior and a shaved head. Jubei takes a corner and loosens up for the fight.
