L Verez: So you're leaving NBW then?
Ginger Red: I don't got much of a choice. Pryde ain't paying me nearly enough for me to be able to help my folks with the ranch.
L Verez: This is just more proof of Pryde's bigotry. Did he know of your situation?
Ginger Red: Prolly not. That dingleberry didn't even lemme talk without interruptin’. I was basically chopped liver to ‘em. I’ma just have to go to another fed, and see what I can do. The way things were goin’ over at New Blood, we woulda lost the ranch due to my lack of funds.
L Verez: I understand, Red. There's no need to deal with Pryde's hierarchy. But don't worry! I'll help you out in anyway I can. I'm not exactly the highest paid member of New Blood either, but I can try and help in other ways.
Ginger Red: I appreciate that, but I think I can handle it. This ain't our first struggle, and it ain't gonna be our last. We always find a way to keep the ranch going. Anyway, don't you got some galaxies to protect? I'm sure a lot of people need your help.
L Verez: Indeed I do. Well, if you ever need anything, I'm a teleportation away.
Ginger Red: Well, I'll be seeing you, friend. Tell your floaty cats I said howdy!
L Verez: I'll be sure to! So long, comrade!
Ginger Red: I have some weird friends...
Zima'Ion: L? Is everything okay?
L Verez: Hmm? Yes. I'm fine, love.
L Verez: You're not recording, are you, Vin? This isn't exactly the type of content I want the Milks to see.
Zima'Ion: L, are you sure you're alright? You seemed a bit out of it there for a moment.
L Verez: I'm okay, my love. I just have a lot on my mind, is all.
Zima'Ion: Is it New Blood? I know the way Pryde and his regime are running things is taking a bit of a toll on your love for wrestling.
L Verez: For once, that isn't the issue, although that isn't helping any. I just keep getting these flashes… I'm not exactly sure why.
Zima'Ion: Flashes of what, exactly?
L Verez: I'm… I'm unsure. If they begin to clear up, I'll be sure to let you in. But they're just too hazy at the moment.
I AM ALWAYS ABLE TO LOOK THROUGH YOUR MEMORY CORE AND DISCOVER THESE FLASHES THAT ARE OCCURRING, PROTECTOR
L Verez: No thank you, Polonium. The last time you did that, I felt an unpleasant shock wave throughout my body. I'd prefer to fix that before allowing you to do that again.
I UNDERSTAND, PROTECTOR. GIVEN THE CORRECT TIME AND PLACE, WE MAY UPGRADE MY PARAMETERS AGAIN
Zima'Ion: I'll be honest, L. Sir Polonium still worries me at times. I still can't forget when the Geth took almost took our home world.
L Verez: I understand. That's why you all go on Pilgrimages. The Geth did a lot of damage to Rannoch before the Quarians were able to control the almost ever growing power of the Geth. But it seems that the few remaining Geth are actually very helpful, now that you've allowed them to act almost as their own species, instead of as glorified slaves.
Zima'Ion: You do make a good point… although the recovery of Planet Rannoch will take quite a while. I'm not even sure I'll still be alive before it's fully recovered.
L Verez: You know, I can always help with that, Zima. I have plenty of resources to help speed up the process of Rannoch’s rejuvenation.
Zima'Ion: I think you have enough on your plate already, love. Besides, it would be dangerous for them to have access to some of the resources that you possess. Not everyone of our kind is exactly trustworthy, I'll admit. I think you do enough good for the Universe at it is.
Zima'Ion: I trust this one much less than Polonium…
Luminous: Greetings, L. Our new comrade here has some concerns he'd like to address.
L Verez: What's wrong, Maximus?
Maximus: What's wrong is that these hooligans behind me won't stop following me! And that is not my name! I am M.A.X! That is what I was named, and that is how I shall remain to be named!
L Verez: Yes… because you're supposed to protect the base, and they're to keep close eyes on you to ensure that, in case I missed anything while reprogramming and reactivating your system, you don't attempt to cause any trouble. And Maximus fits you! Besides, I was the one that saved you after your creators left you stranded and deactivated.
Maximus: Surely, I should have some sort of freedom! Your rust bucket over there, does!
YOU ARE TO REGARD TO ME AS SIR POLONIUM.
Maximus: Whatever.
L Verez: Polonium wasn't originally built for war, and has never attempted to murder me.
Maximus: I will still not be referred to as “Maximus”!
L Verez: Your creators didn't even add a period after the X initial. Do you even remember what the “M.A.X” acronym stood for?
Maximus: Well… err… erm… I don't, actually…
L Verez: That's because your memory chip was damaged when I found you. None of them bothered to fix it. Not even your friend… Sigma, was it?
Maximus: Don't you dare bring up that name again!
L Verez: My apologies, Maximus. However, I'd prefer if you would continue securing the perimeter while we enhance our security for the base. Once I can trust that you won't cause any sort of trouble here, then I'll allow you some more freedom. Until then, I have to keep a close eye on you.
Maximus: Fine, but don't expect me to like this nonsense! And I still haven't agreed to the name!
L Verez: I didn't think androids could be so unappreciative…
Luminous: I shall stay and help Polonium with the security measures.
Zima'Ion: L, are you sure it's safe to have him in your base? His mere presence makes me nervous…
L Verez: I understand the reluctance. He's not the most trustworthy character I could have brought in, but he needed help, and he can be a very valuable asset to us. We’ll just have to see if my rewirings were enough to stop him from causing any mishaps.
L Verez: I can't pick you up like I used to, Xün.
*bleeeeeet*
L Verez: Now, just because I pick up someone larger than me once in a while when I wrestle, doesn't mean I'm willing to do it all the time. You're not even fully grown yet, and you're already quite large.
*bleeeeeet*
I WILL CARRY XÜN, IF NEED BE, PROTECTOR
L Verez: I would appreciate that, Polonium.
Zima'Ion: L… you've been acting different ever since UCI closed its doors. Are you okay? Truly?
L Verez: If I'm honest? Not really. I lost my home away from home. It wasn't perfect, but it was an accomplishing experience. New Blood is different, and not in a good way. But I can't simply leave when my friends are dealing with the tyranny as well. Ginger was forced to leave because of how low she was being paid. I want to help change that, and that means knocking some sense into Vincent Pryde and his regime.
Zima'Ion: Well, how about I help? I still plan on joining, even if it is that bosh’tet women's division.
L Verez: Don't even get me started on that women's division. First, I'm in the Trü Grit Division, and once I ask for a world title shot, I'm suddenly classified as a woman? I'm just baffled by Pryde's decision making… I had finally made a name for myself in UCI, and now, not only do I seem to have to start over, but now I have to go through the shenanigans of Pryde and co. It's a bit overwhelming. I just want the opportunity I was owed, even if it isn't one on one.
Zima'Ion: Maybe it's because you're in a different company now. You can't exactly be Hypermedia Champion still. At least, not legitimately.
L Verez: I would understand that, if I weren't basically forced to be in a different company. Pryde wouldn't let up until it was his federation being broadcasted by Syfy. Spencer was cornered, and we all suffered for it.
Zima'Ion: Allen Walker didn't…
L Verez: And I still don't agree with Vincent trying to face him so soon, but it's ultimately his choice. Same goes for you joining the women's division.
L Verez: Come to think of it, that Sam Kidsgrove caricature made an appearance with the UCI Intercontinental Championship. Apparently, he's the last person with the UCI contract, according to Jenson. Maybe UCI does have a chance…
Zima'Ion: I sense that isn't the only thing on your mind… is it the flashes?
L Verez: Skar… Roku… Nozomi… what are you guys doing here?
Roku: We wouldn't have to be if Skar weren't so insistent about it…
Nozomi: And it wouldn't have been such an issue if Roku weren't so stubborn.
J’skar: Well, L… suffice it to say… we need your help.
L Verez: My help?
Roku: Unfortunately. Someone from this planet has attacked our home.
Zima'Ion: The Shade…
Nozomi: That sounds about right. ZiiX is attempting to hold them off right now, but even with his similar powers, it doesn't seem to be enough. This… “Shade” … is capable of more than ZiiX can handle.
L Verez: By the Quasars, it's crossed the line! Polonium, could you and some of the androids please keep up with the security upgrades while I'm gone?
I WOULD BE HONOURED, PROTECTOR
L Verez: Luminous, could you, Marvelous, and the rest of the androids keep an eye on Maximus for me? Make sure he isn't up to anything. I'm still a bit paranoid about how well I did with his wirings.
Luminous: We will make sure everything is in line, Protector.
Zima'Ion: What about me and Vince, L?
L Verez: You two are coming with us. I would bring Polonium as well, if we didn't need these added security measures.
Zima'Ion: Finally, some payback! Let's take down that Bosh'tet once and for all!
Ginger Red: I don't got much of a choice. Pryde ain't paying me nearly enough for me to be able to help my folks with the ranch.
Greetings everyone. Vincent Walker here. As nauseous as always. I'm here in South Carolina alongside L Verez with her friend Ginger Red. They are both sat atop the bed of a truck by Ginger's ranch, discussing Ginger Red's sudden departure from New Blood Wrestling.

L Verez: Indeed I do. Well, if you ever need anything, I'm a teleportation away.
Eugh…
L Verez: I'll be sure to! So long, comrade!
~~WHOOSH~~
~~~
Sudden flashes… memories almost.
Memories of the past… Long, long ago…
Before I was who I am now...
The loss of a friend… The loss of trust.
Changing the homescape… The Quartex…
Where is all this coming from? How do I make it stop?
...
Will it ever stop…?
...
Zima'Ion: L? Is everything okay?
L Verez: Hmm? Yes. I'm fine, love.
Now that I'm not feeling so nauseated from teleporting everywhere, we're back at our base. L, Zima, Polonium, and the felines are helping add more security measures to it. After our last encounter from the Shade, L is taking heightened measures to make sure the base is secure.
No, no. I'm just making sure I'm not out of practice at all.
L Verez: I'm okay, my love. I just have a lot on my mind, is all.
Zima'Ion: Is it New Blood? I know the way Pryde and his regime are running things is taking a bit of a toll on your love for wrestling.
Ahh, yes. I forgot to mention that L has upgraded Polonium's speech incrementally. He's still the usual floating, robotic cyclops however. That purple glowing eye still freaks me out sometimes…
I UNDERSTAND, PROTECTOR. GIVEN THE CORRECT TIME AND PLACE, WE MAY UPGRADE MY PARAMETERS AGAIN
Zima'Ion: I'll be honest, L. Sir Polonium still worries me at times. I still can't forget when the Geth took almost took our home world.
Just as L was about to reply, Luminous floats over, with some androids following him. One of them is a familiar face, and not in a good way. Back in UCI, he was known as M.A.X, the war android that attempted to kill L Verez at one point. I still don't like that he's here…
Luminous: Greetings, L. Our new comrade here has some concerns he'd like to address.
L Verez: What's wrong, Maximus?
Maximus: What's wrong is that these hooligans behind me won't stop following me! And that is not my name! I am M.A.X! That is what I was named, and that is how I shall remain to be named!
Maximus stomps his way back to his assigned area, his new posse following behind. L gives off a sigh as she pinches the bridge of her nose.
Luminous: I shall stay and help Polonium with the security measures.
Zima'Ion: L, are you sure it's safe to have him in your base? His mere presence makes me nervous…
L’s panda, who isn't much of a cub anymore. It grew rather quickly, actually… I'm going off track. Xün bleeted to L, I guess as a way to interject herself into the conversation.
*bleeeeeet*
L Verez: Now, just because I pick up someone larger than me once in a while when I wrestle, doesn't mean I'm willing to do it all the time. You're not even fully grown yet, and you're already quite large.
I WILL CARRY XÜN, IF NEED BE, PROTECTOR
L Verez: I would appreciate that, Polonium.
As Polonium carries Xün whilst continuing to work alongside Luminous, Zima sits over by L. She seems concerned.
L Verez: If I'm honest? Not really. I lost my home away from home. It wasn't perfect, but it was an accomplishing experience. New Blood is different, and not in a good way. No way in hell I'm changing my mind.
Zima'Ion: I sense that isn't the only thing on your mind… is it the flashes?
Before L can reply, translucent purple rings begin to appear. Once the images begin to surface, three unknown figures solidify… are they all Japanese? This isn't the Yakuza, is it?
Roku: We wouldn't have to be if Skar weren't so insistent about it…
Nozomi: And it wouldn't have been such an issue if Roku weren't so stubborn.
Oh, great. We get to face the thing that almost killed Zima.
L Verez sits atop the roof of Madison Square Garden, her UCI Hypermedia Championship strapped around her left shoulder and right side. I don't care how stable this roof is, I still feel as if I'm about to fall and die. I guess that's why L has her hovercraft with her.
This arena is the new home of New Blood Wrestling. It's quite a feat, isn't it? Now that New Blood has Syfy in their pocket, they've stepped over the bounds of the underground, and have become the big money federation that they've been aiming to be. At Madison Square Garden, I have my second match in New Blood Wrestling. I team up with my opponent from last week, Travis McKenna, to face the team of Erin Fausse and Brooke Bell. I had to do a double take when I first discovered my place on this card. I challenge Cassidy Kaine for the NBW World Championship, and all of a sudden, Vincent Pryde does see me as a woman. My indications about Travis McKenna also seem to be correct. Pryde seems to be using him as the woman beater of the division. Simply put, this is outrageous on Pryde's part, but I shall take what I can get to prove to Pryde that I am worthy of being the World Champion.
Or maybe I can become UCI Intercontinental Champion? Maybe Sam Kidsgrove won't have to be the last person to be contracted with UCI, just as I am the last to hold this Hypermedia Championship. Maybe… maybe UCI still has a chance. It is the more prestigious of the two federations. This news has brought a new fire within me… some actual hope for the life of the place I called home.
However, before I can think of that, I must bring my mind to my match tonight. Finally, I get to face another former UCI employee… Unfortunately, however, that person just so happens to be Erin Fausse. Where had she been the whole time I was making a name for myself in UCI? Was she injured? Was she dealing with a personal situation? Or maybe… she just didn't care enough to show up. Maybe she just gave up, took her ball, and went home. Maybe she was overwhelmed by facing people twice her size, so she sees that NBW has a women's division and says “hey, I can go there with my half effort”. Too bad she has to deal with Travis McKenna now. Hey, Fausse… if you wanted to join a half baked, second rate women's division, you could've slumped over to S.W.A.T… I may be wrong about her, however. She may bring a fire that I haven't seen within her before. But until she actually proves to me that she is worth the time of day, I won't be holding my breath. I will, however, give her the benefit of the doubt. Travis McKenna surprised me last week. Maybe Fausse will do the same. Or maybe she'll just no show. It wouldn't be her first time.
Her partner on the other hand, Brooke Bell, I haven't seen before making the transition over to New Blood Wrestling. Based off what I've seen from the debut episode of NBW, considering she tied with Erin Fausse, you can color me unimpressed. She also seems to be aligning herself with that Andre Aquarius caricature. I'm really unsure of that Milk. He brings all sorts of bad vibes to me. I hope she's not going low enough to partner up with him. But this week, she partners up with her apparent equal. This isn't the best the women's division has to offer aside from Bonnie Blue, is it? Ginger Red is out of the picture now, so that takes the division down a level. Is this the best we have to offer? We can't change Pryde's mind if we're not giving our best effort. We can't be the second rate division within New Blood Wrestling. We have to prove to everyone that we're worth more than they think we are. That's what Bonnie and I are looking to do. I truly hope that the other women look to do that as well. It's up to us to change the landscape of New Blood Wrestling, and that means bringing our best effort, and besting the men. I plan to tear the house down this week. Hopefully, Fausse and Bell are looking to do the same.
I have many problems with New Blood Wrestling. I have even more problems with this match up. However, I will always persevere. I don't need a man like Travis McKenna to win this match. I don't even need Bonnie Blue on commentary giving me some good words. I aim to represent change for New Blood Wrestling. I aim to take the olden ways of their product, and enlighten them with a new change of pace. I represent women. I represent Earth’s LGBT+ community. I represent the extraterrestrial. I hold all of these things on my shoulders, and hold them high. My voice will be heard, and I will make sure everyone listens. A new age is dawning, and there's nothing that Vincent Pryde's regime can do to stop me!
