We find ourselves in the center of the fairly large, and colorful library of Jason Skar's headquarters. In between the many various isles and columns, sits the Protector of the Universe, L Verez, with a book in hand. Her partner, Zima’Ion, sits beside her, also with a book in hand. They read, both focused, yet calm.
Before anything, I must admit when I’ve been bested. Last week, that was most definitely the case. Fausse and Bell proved to be the better team. Travis, obviously unhappy, decided to find a new partner. Fine by me. I can team with Bonnie, Alex. or many other people, and find better success. I’m even better off on my lonesome. I definitely do not need a misogynistic abuser on my side.
As L flips a page in her book, Zima’Ion interjects.
Last week was just a small misstep for our Universal Protector. But L Verez always proves to excel at rebounding, and persevering. If either Fausse or Bell would like to have another bout against her, she will be more than willing to oblige. The Protector will take on any and all comers, male, female, beast, god... it matters not.
This week, I see myself against a woman named Mya Denton, apparently within the Trü Grit division. Another confusing choice by Vincent Pryde. I’m unsure if this means us women are eligible of going for the Trü Grit Championship. I’m still unsure about where I lie within the realm of New Blood Wrestling. It feels as if I’ve become lost in the shuffle. I’ll give Pryde a pass for now, as he just recently gained Syfy, as well as a competent roster. I’ve seen the current crowning champions, and I remain unimpressed. Especially with our World Champion, Cassidy Kaine. I find that very appalling, considering his bloodline. As someone that has competed against his father, it really doesn’t feel as if the apple fell too close to the tree.
See, Milks… I know Earth lingo!
L glances at the camera, giving a wink before looking back at her book.
This Mya Denton, however, is apparently in a struggle with herself. There are talks of her suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder. This is unfortunate for her, though it honestly can give her a bit of an advantage in the ring. This makes her unhinged, unpredictable. This is something I must lookout for. To her detriment, I will not be sympathetic. Mentally ill or not, she has signed up for this. She chose to become a professional wrestler, knowing that this issue could get in her way. She may be dangerous, but she is most definitely not in her right mind. Contrary to what many believe, I do not suffer from a mental disability. You could say I suffer from a mental disorder that Earth has named “gender dysphoria”, but I remain clear headed. I remain focused. Denton wants to cling on to one Noah Knox, someone who seems to suffer from a similar disorder. This is just another thing that clouds her mind.
I must give them both credit, though. Unlike me, they both won their respective matches last week. Here’s what Denton doesn’t understand though… if you have two mentally ill people partnered up, it’s bound to cause toxicity. Especially with something as serious as DID. I’d regret to see them both end up in a mental hospital, but with their carelessness, that could ultimately be their fate. Mya especially. She seems almost entirely unhinged. She’ll need to bring that if she hopes to defeat me this week. I’m looking for redemption, and I’m not allowing someone with a clouded mind get the best of me. Especially not one that feels she needs to cling onto to someone that relates to her in the worst way. Being mentally disabled is not something you want to relate to. It isn’t something you glorify. It’s something you must overcome, and control. I unsure about Noah, but I don’t see Mya doing this.
L drags her index finger between the two pages of her book, causing a purple line to appear. She closes the book and gives a stern face to the camera.
I suggest Noah should stay away from this Mya Denton. Nothing good will come out of a partnership between the two. I’m uncertain of her medical condition, but her toxicity is most definitely apparent. I see an ulterior motive in her head. She most definitely is not one to trust. But in the end, it’s Noah’s decision, and honestly isn’t any of my business, nor my concern. What happens between them is between them. I’m just the competitor that will best Mya Denton. Admittedly, when analyzing and researching your opponent, it’s hard to not be concerned when you discover these types of situations. But in the end, what matters is the match at hand. What matters is getting back on track, and to do that, I have to pick Denton piece by piece by piece.
L folds her hands together again, keeping her stern expression. Zima interjects once more. She looks up to the camera with her piercing white eyes. Her book still open. I feel like she wants to roundhouse kick me…
Denton may have won last week, but it was against a newcomer named Delilah Black. L Verez is on another level. An Intergalactic level. Denton will have to bring everything within her arsenal if she hopes to overcome the Universal Protector. With L looking to go back on track, her focus is now magnified. Don't allow her appearance to fool you. She may be a noble being outside of the ring, but once she steps in, the Protector is unforgiving. Her strikes will leave you battered and bruised. When she twists your joints in unimaginable ways, the temptation of surrender will constantly flood your mind.
They both put their books down and stand with poise, L a few steps in front of Zima. Her silver eyes struck with the intent for victory.
This week, I remind everyone why I am not to be trifled with. No matter what Pryde wants, my intent is to become NBW World Champion. If that means going through his insane obstacles, then so be it. This week is a multi personic psychopath, next week may be her hopeful significant other. Hell, I'll take both of them. Give me anyone. I took on three people for my first title defence as UCI Hypermedia Champion, and I came out the victor. I think it's about time I bring back that intensity. I already showed a taste of that in my match against Travis. It was my mistake to underestimate Fausse and Bell. I’m done holding back. I’m through with being nice. The mean streak starts here.
Giants such as Corey Bull and Onslaught will seem childish compared to the force that the Protector will bring to Vincent Pryde’s homefront.
Mya Denton… Your Celestial Descent awaits.
Skar: L. Zima. The Shade has returned.
