I tried to save you…
I was too late…
You were already gone.
Everyone shunned me.
Shunned each other.
That's when everything changed…
The more answers I get, the more questions arise.
I now remember, but I don't understand.
Why am I starting to remember now?
Why were these memories buried?
Does the Shade have anything to do with this?
Suddenly, I hear a familiar voice. I believe I know who it is.
Auron: You're finally awake. You know, for an alien that has two full time jobs, you sure can sleep, or however it is you Quasonics rest, with the odd way you sit up cross legged.
The room looked different than last time. There are less patient beds this time. The equipment is familiar, however.
Auron: It is. We rearrange it, depending on the circumstances. Jason is viewing you as a high priority.
L Verez: Is that why you have different medications for me now?
Auron: Well, you're quite the observant one. Your Quarian friend went back to your base to get supplies to at least get a good sense of your vitals, which are all stable, from what I can tell. You didn't seem to suffer any concussions from the blast either, so you're cleared to compete, as well as to “protect the galaxy” or whatever it is you say.
L Verez: The Universe.
Auron: Okay, that makes more sense. You're from one galaxy, and we're from another. Wouldn't exactly make sense to only protect one of them.
Suddenly, an unfamiliar voice was heard from across the room. A female voice, though a tad bit deep, with a slight Italian American accent. It became clear to me who it was. Kai Tiér. Roku’s wife.
She sits up slowly, as if she forgot how to. I don't think I've seen anyone with such curly hair. The dirty blonde tone almost highlighted her curls. She's in her usual black tank top and camo pants outfit, from when she was in the military.
Kai: Ya mean aside from dealin’ with PTSD, Manic Depression, and all the other shit my brain throws at me? Neva betta.
Auron: Could be worse. You could have a missing arm.
L Verez: So you're in here for mental reasons then?
Kai: That's right. Seems like that's more of your issue too, in a sense. Said you've been havin’ visions or somethin'?
L Verez: They were just flashes at first, but they've cleared up more, as of late. Now, they're full on memories. I'm not exactly sure why they've been haunting me so much…
Kai: Ya think the Shade has anything to do with it? Ya didn't seem to have these memories until that thing popped back up. Now that it attacked ya, they've become more clear.
L Verez: Yes, I've thought the same thing. The question still remains… why? What's the motive?
Kai: I dunno. Skar and Zomi are the smart ones. From what I've heard, so are you. I'm just the one that almost destroys the planet after a mental episode.
Ahh, yes. Kai is the most powerful of the group, but also the most unstable. Their “Incredible Hulk”, in a sense, except she's most definitely mortal.
L Verez: Indeed… It's a bit difficult to keep up with your obligations when you have memories constantly running through your mind.
Kai: Welcome ta my world. Between gender dysphoria, chaotic abilities that could destroy myself and the entire planet, and literally becoming a murderer, I wouldn't say my life is exactly “easy” to cope with.
L Verez: These mental issues… how long have you suffered from them?
Kai: My whole life. It doesn't go away easily, if at all, to be honest. It's gotten worse for a while. I'm just recently becoming more stable, but the gang still feel I should stay here until they know for sure that I'm mentally stable enough to be by myself.
So this is what my life could be like if I can't mentally stay in order? By the Quasars, I don't think I'd be able to handle it.
Kai: Not exactly. They visit a lot, and they still take me places. It ain't all bad. They ain't treatin’ me like a psychopath. They just understand that I need help. Like… a lot of help.
L Verez: I understand. So, what are these abilities that make you so dangerous?
Before she could answer, the door opens behind her. Skar and Zima appear from behind. Zima'Ion instantly walks over, and I receive a warm embrace.
L Verez: Yes, dear. Auron says I'm healthy.
Zima'Ion turns to him, and he awkwardly gives her a thumbs up.
L Verez: How is Vince? I hope I didn't upset him too much after our talk…
Zima'Ion: He's fine. He understands why you feel the way you do. I'm mainly worried that he may be holding himself accountable for what happened.
L Verez: Agreed. Well… now that I'm cleared to compete, I should get to training. I have a big match ahead of me.
Zima'Ion: Indeed you do! The world champ… It's about time, huh?
L Verez: It's only because of Lucious Starr. He must have some sort of ulterior motive… Either way, this is my chance to prove myself, and I must go in with a clear mind.
J’skar: I have some free time. I can help you. But just a thought; are you sure about how your group is going about this Insurgency? I understand you're going against the tyranny, but you're fighting fire with heavier fire.
L Verez: I'll be honest, Skar. I'm a bit skeptical as well. This isn't what I had in mind when I joined the Insurgency. I understand why they're going about it the way they are. Especially Bonnie. Between Pryde, UCI closing, and her frustrations with WCF, she's pretty much had enough. I'm unsure about the Kidsgrove or Jenson. I'm still researching more about them, but with everything going on, I don't have much time to do so. However, I know they'll be fine with me leaving if I feel they've gone too far.
J’skar: What about Jobber Dave? That was a bit uncalled for, don't you think?
L Verez: I agree. I didn't join in on the ambush for a reason.
No response from Zima'Ion. She didn't exactly look upset or concerned. More… anxious? It was a bit hard to tell with her mask.

Within a large, dark room, sits the FemAlien, L Verez. The only other visual that can be seen is the squared circle that she sits in the center of. The UCI Hypermedia Championship laid out in front of her. Her striking silver eyes beaming with aggression and authority.
Last week at Monday, Bloody Monday, the Insurgency made our mark. We did what we said we were going to do, and that was dominate. I don't exactly agree with the actions my teammates made, but it sent the message that was needed. The Insurgency is here, and there is no stopping us. I pinned New Blood Wrestling's World Champion, Corey Bull. Vincent Pryde's biggest star. I'm still unsure of Bull’s alliance with Pryde. He doesn't seem as enthusiast as, say Onslaught. Though Bull is much more of a threat than him. He doesn't need Pryde. Pryde needs Corey Bull, and I think Bull knows that. It may just be me overanalyzing, but I feel as if Bull has an ulterior motive. I'm not entirely sure, but he just doesn't seem like the type that would side with someone like Pryde. Either way, it's L Verez vs Corey Bull. This is my chance to prove, without a shadow of a doubt that I am worthy of being New Blood Wrestling's World Champion. It won't matter what the New Blood Thirsty think. It won't matter what Lucious Starr thinks. It definitely won't matter what Vincent Pryde thinks. This match is essential for me.
Pryde thinks banning the Insurgency from ringside will give me a disadvantage. He may be right about that, but honestly? This is the perfect opportunity for me to prove everyone wrong. Every doubter will know what I'm truly capable of. No one is going to stop me on my way to the World Championship. Obviously, this won't be easy. Corey Bull was dominant last week, even though he was in an uphill battle. But we knew that Chaos would be on Pryde's side of the fence. Retaliation was necessary. But hitting that Celestial Descent should be a wake-up call for Corey Bull. He isn't the unstoppable force that he wishes to be. Underneath that mask is a mortal, and I'm going to break that mortal down piece by piece. When you face someone like Bull, you have to be intelligent, vigilant, and resilient. I bring all of that to the table. I have a foolproof plan of action.
I don't need the Insurgency to prove that I am the best option to become number one contender. This is my opportunity to show just that. It's time for everyone to wake up and see things my way. The sight of me standing over top of Bull will happen for a second time, but this will be much sweeter. As I've said before, the games are over. I'm done being nice. I'm done being the role model everyone wants me to be. When you're in the land of Pryde's regime, it's time to take action. It's time to show your aggression. My aggression will be towards Pryde's prize possession. His crowning jewel. At Monday Bloody Monday, Corey Bull's dominance will be Finite, and soon, so will his title reign.
L Verez closes her eyes and begins to meditate. The feed fades to black.
